1. Who we are
Blindspot Blackjack (blindspotblackjack.com) is a free blackjack training site that uses play money only. It is run by Blindspot Poker ("we", "us"), which also runs Blindspot Poker. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@blindspotpoker.com.
2. If you don't sign in
The table, coach, chart and blindspots all run in your browser. Your chips, table settings and blindspot stats are kept in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us; clear them from the Blindspots page or your browser settings. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for a short time to run and protect the site. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how the site is used; see section 6.
3. What we collect when you sign in
Signing in is optional and uses "Sign in with Google". It is the same account as Blindspot Poker, stored in the same database. With your permission on Google's consent screen, and nothing more, we receive and store:

We don't ask Google for anything else, and we don't collect payment details. The site has no real-money features.
Your profile
If you set up a profile on Blindspot Poker (name, picture, bio, profile link, social usernames), this site shows it to you too. You edit it there, and its privacy settings are described in the Blindspot Poker Privacy Policy. This site doesn't show your blackjack stats on your public profile.
4. Why we're allowed to use it
Where the law asks for a legal basis (for example in the UK and European Economic Area):
- To provide your account and saved stats: it's necessary to give you the service you asked for.
- For analytics cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the site secure and working: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and fixing problems.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for others' marketing. We use a small number of service providers that process data for us:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) runs sign-in and stores your account and stats. See Firebase's privacy information.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC), only if you accept analytics cookies. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) serves the site's pages. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the site (in which case this policy would continue to apply).
6. Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics, only if you accept
The first time you visit, we ask whether we can use analytics cookies. If you choose No thanks, Google Analytics never loads and no analytics cookies are set. If you choose Accept, Google Analytics records the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that sent you, features you use (such as playing your first hand and signing in), your device type, browser, screen size and language, and your approximate location (country and city) worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics doesn't log or store the IP address itself.
It identifies your browser with a random ID stored in the cookies _ga and _ga_…, which last up to two years. We don't send Google Analytics your name, email or account ID. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw consent, collection stops and we remove the analytics cookies.
Sign-in and settings
When you sign in, Firebase stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in; it is removed when you sign out. We also remember your cookie choice, chips, table settings and blindspot stats in your browser. These are strictly necessary for the site to work as you'd expect.
Advertising
The site doesn't show ads today, and advertising cookies are switched off. Before that changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and stats until you delete them. Deleting your blackjack sessions on your account page removes them immediately. Deleting your whole account (on Blindspot Poker's account page) removes your profile, your poker and blackjack stats and your sign-in record. Copies in our providers' backups and security logs are erased on their normal schedules, usually within a few weeks. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
8. Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: use "Download my data" on your Blindspot Poker account page. It includes your blackjack sessions.
- Delete your blackjack data: use "Delete my blackjack sessions" on your account page.
- Delete your account: use "Delete my account" on Blindspot Poker's account page, or email privacy@blindspotpoker.com.
- Correct your details: your name and photo come from your Google account and your profile; change them there.
- Stop analytics: choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, then No thanks.
- Stop using Google sign-in: remove the site's access in your Google account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents: we don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
9. Age
The site is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a child has signed up, email privacy@blindspotpoker.com and we'll delete the account.
10. Where your data is stored
Firebase and Cloudflare may store and process data in the United States and other countries where they operate, with the safeguards the law requires for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Security
Your data is protected in transit with encryption, and our database rules only let a signed-in player read or change their own records.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll give signed-in players notice before it takes effect.
